About Us
Surfers for Missions International (SFMI) is a ministry of YWAM Maui. We are followers of Jesus Christ who desire to know Him more intimately and want to make Him known while using our gifts to contribute to the fulfillment of the great commission. (Matthew 28).
We understand the unique complexities of the global surfing sub culture and desire to reach the lost where they are.....in the water, at the beach, and in nations where many will not venture. We also seek to support the church in these nations and communities by serving with their ministries.
SFMI is for anyone who has a desire to deepen their relationship with Jesus and reach out to others through that relationship. Our heart is to evangelize the global surfing community by supporting local churches and ministries. SFMI does this through various ministries such as Discipleship Training Schools, Boomerang Mission Trips and Local Outreaches. For more information please contact us at
