Whether it's the base director putting spinners on his van, having a party in the driveway for our new shuttle buses, or sitting in the driveway watching our cat Vivianne (yes that's her real name) play with a lizard, as 10 of us gather around in awe! It's a good time. I love my family here and just feel so blessed to have them in my life and encourage me in my walk with the Lord.

DTS:  I did my DTS here on Maui in January 2003. We went to Uganda & Tanzania on outreach. I also attended the School of Biblical Foundations and Missions here in 2004, went to Cambodia on outreach.
Staff Status:  I've been on staff since January of 2006. I started on staff as an intern for the Surfers for Missions International (SFMI) DTS, then worked in the office. In the summer of 2006 I staffed a DTS and co-led a team to Nepal. I also worked on our Maintenance crew.

Interests:  Some interests of mine would have to be:  People-- hanging out and talking story... doing crazy things is definitely a real passion of mine-- I enjoy the rush of jumping off of big, tall things... surfing... indulging in a good cup of joe (coffee, for the lay person). I have been known to be quite the aficionado at Bocce Ball and am considering "Going Pro".
Favorite(s) about YWAM-Maui:  Umm, it quite possibly could be the outrageous people that I live with-- a bunch of people that are stoked on Jesus and focused on Him, living together and growing in Love. Just living the dream!

DTS:  YWAM-Lebanon, PA, Fall 2002.
Staff Status:  I have been on staff with YWAM-Maui since February 2006. In the Fall 2004, I came to YWAM-Maui to attend the School of Worship. When I came on staff with YWAM-Maui, I then staffed the School of Worship, leading an outreach team to the United Kingdom.  It was amazing.  Since then, I’ve worked in the office as the base registrar and then attended YWAM-Maui’s SBFM.  From there, I upgraded to the kitchen, while moonlighting as the Base Worship Director.
Current: Currently I am working in our Kitchen.
Interests:  Water fights are a passion of mine, second only to laughing.  I also enjoy
coffee (probably a little too much) and along with that, coffee houses where I can play
songs I’ve written.  It’s fun.  You should try it sometime.  Oh, and worship and snuggling and haggis.
Favorite(s) about YWAM-Maui:  Build-a-sandwich Thursdays …

Interests: I like books. A lot. I like learning in general. Studying to know what we believe and why we believe it is a favorite subject. I like finding patches of cold grass on our lawn in Haiku, twittering about in strange languages, and camping out in Anthony's coffee shop. People might tell you I also like to randomly twirl around rooms when given a few square feet of space...they’re right.
Favorite(s) about YWAM-Maui: I love, love, love the people here. They are family. I love the fact that this base is a launch pad for dreamers, and that we know how to have fun! (Haiku Hide n' Seek, anyone?)

DTS: Did my DTS here in the summer of 2004 with an outreach to Mexico.
Staff Since: I've been a part of this crazy family since December 2005. In 2005 I went for a "cross-cultural" experience and did a Phase II at YWAM Denver.  Since I've come on staff here I've led a Surfers for Missions team to the Philippines, worked in the Housing department, invented and filled the position of "Special Projects Coordinator Extraordinaire"  and now I serve as the SFMI director.  Somewhere in that mix I was able to partake in SBFM here at YWAM Maui.
Current: SFMI Director
Interests: I like running in the middle of the street, preferably on the yellow lines.  I enjoy strawberry-rhubarb pie and Mexican food.  I REALLY enjoy coffee and admit to having a slight obsession with it. My favorite thing is just being in God's creation on a board of some sort. Snow, skate or surf.  It might sound strange, but that is how the Lord romances me.
Favorite(s) about YWAM-Maui: I love that people stay young here.  There is no end to the possibilities of fun, rain or shine.  This family has an excellent grasp of God's sense of humor. Our task is indeed a serious one and we don't take it lightly... but I love that we are allowed to have fun while doing it.
