Name: Tom and Ohokulani (and Timmy and Elias)
Home: Tom is from Minnesota. Ohokulani is from Hawaii.
DTS: Tom’s DTS was here in Maui, Fall 1987 with outreach to Micronesia. Ohokulani did the Maui DTS in Winter of 1990 with outreach to Fiji.
Staff Status: Ohokulani came on staff in 1991 and served until 1996. During that time she also completed the Introduction to Biblical Counseling School in Amsterdam and the School of Biblical Studies in Fiji. Tom joined the staff in 1994 after completing the School of Biblical Foundations & Missions (SBFM). We married in 1997 and shortly thereafter, we moved to Minnesota. After a 4 year hiatus, we returned to the staff of YWAM Maui in 2001 and have been here since then.
Current: Currently serving as the Base Leader.
Interests: Ohokulani – My family, reading, cardmaking, and cooking. Tom – History, politics, reading, hiking, and spending time with my family.
Favorite things about YWAM-Maui: The wonderful people that we serve with and being a part of what God is doing in the lives and ministry of our YWAM family.

Name: Jasmine Home: New Mexico, USA DTS: YWAM Maui Summer 2005 Staff Status: Joined staff in January 2006 Current: Personnel Director Interests: I love traveling and more so doing it side by side with God! Since I've moved here, God has continued to pour into my life blessings like no other! I have had the honor of living with the people of Hawaii, learning their culture. I love to paddle outrigger canoes, swim, surf, play volleyball, ride motorcycles and dance. If I could spend my life jumping off waterfalls and climbing seaside cliffs, running through bamboo forests, camping on the beach then I wouldn't leave Maui! But the world that God has created is so much more, and I am so excited to see where else God takes me in life! Favorite things about YWAM-Maui: The friendships I've developed here on staff are lifelong, the staff and students are WHO make this base Ywam Maui. My favorite thing about this base is definitely the unity that the staff walk in, and that everyone seeks first the kingdom of heaven and God's heart above all! The fact that Maui is Maui helps too!!! :) |

Name: Vivianne Home: Haiku, Maui DTS: I've had an integral part in the past several DTS schools. Staff Status: I've been on staff here since Spring of 2007. Current: I currently reside in the small, plush nest in the breeze-way next to the door. My biggest job currently is killing the ferocious rats of the Haiku upcountry. Interests: I love having my ear rubbed. Especially my ear with the sweet tattoo. I enjoy watching peoples' lives change before my eyes. I enjoy the love that exudes from the people here who come and pet me for hours on end. Favorite things about YWAM-Maui: My favorites here are certainly killing the rats. Not only that, but keeping this safe for the amazing people here. I also enjoy Samantha who is currently in Bangladesh hanging out with those cats over there. |

Name: Joanne Home: Colorado, USA
Staff Status: November 2006. I did a SOSM in Colorado Springs in fall of 1999. Then took care of my elderly parents for 6 years until they passed. At that time I felt it was time to come to Maui YWAM. Current: Accounting/Agricultral Department Interests: I enjoy gardening and reading. Favorite things about YWAM-Maui: I am thrilled to be a part of the YWAM Maui base. I count my blessings each evening to think I have the potential to touch the lives of "God hungry" youth on a daily basis. I am truly blessed to be here. |

My outreach was both to backpackers in Australia and also to Thailand Staff Status: Joined staff in the Spring of 2009 Current: Maintenence Staff Interests: I love being able to go to the beach and look out over all that God has made and think what a wonderful world this is. The time I can spend riding my bicycle; oh yeah, that right my ten speed! Also Ochnel Thai Ice Tea. Favorite things about YWAM-Maui: John 13:34-35A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” This is at YWAM Maui. That even if you are bored and there is nothing to do you can find someone else to do that with! |

But most of all I love to worship with my life and be in the presence of my Lord. I love to go shopping or hanging out at Borders, drinking Starbuck's, looking at magazines, and watching chick-flicks. Quality time is one of my love languages so doing anything with my friends is fun to me!! And thats me!! Favorite thing about YWAM Maui: My favorite thing about YWAM Maui is being around people who love God and we all have similar goals. I love the family atmosphere and the beauty of Hawaii. |

Name: Liz Home: South Dakota (though I've lived in Maui longer...) DTS: I did DTS here in Maui in the Fall of '98, and went on outreach to Malaysia. Staff Status: I was privileged to became part of YWAM Maui's staff in '99. Since then, I have served in a variety of modes including administration and leading outreach teams. Current: Staff with the SBFM- and stoked about it! Interests: I love how God shows Himself to us in His steadfast Word; I am fascinated with the immutability of God. I enjoy far flung travels, classic literature, friends, espresso, and good conversation- and if they all should converge upon the same hour, all the better. I am excessively fond of photography, boots, squirrels, Coca-Cola, laughing, middle eastern food, reading C.S. Lewis, being near the ocean, and cooking breakfast for friends. Favorite thing about YWAM Maui: This is a remarkable place where comfort zones are challenged, and lives are marked forever by an encounter with God, His family, and the world next door. I deeply appreciate that there is a continual focus on the Scripture as our foundation and authority, both corporately and as individual believers, and that there is a constant call to align our worldview with the Word of God.
